Sweet Potato Fries Dipping Sauce

AlHappy Caturday! This is the day all my kitties like to sleep with us as long as possible. We try to spend time with them in the morning as much as possible. Then they curl up in fur balls and snuggle next to us. It is my favorite day of the week.

Today we also decided to make one of my FAVORITE dipping sauces. I take a bag Alexia sweet potato fries, bake them and just add a little hint of seasalt. But the real treat is the sauce I use to dip them with. I use the blooming onion dipping sauce. So DELICIOUS! I even smear a layer on my hamburgers too!

Here is the recipe:

  • Dipping Sauce:
  •
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons cream-style horseradish sauce
  • 1/3 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper

It you are concerned about the calorie content, check this site out where I've calculated the nutrients for you.
Mix all ingredients and enjoy this yummiest!

Beauty Review: St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish & Blackhead Control Scrub

Happy Happy Joy Joy!

How are you doing this fine sunny week? So far so good for me except for a little beauty snag I ran into yesterday. Vinny came to pick me up at work and said "oh baby, your makeup is all flaky." I immediately whipped out my mirror and saw my face was dry causing my makeup to flake off my skin. On top of that, I saw a nice budding pimple above my lip begin to form a head. All I could think about was how embarrassing! People at work saw me like this.
I know a very important part of beauty regiments should involve some sort of exfoliation 1-3 times a week which I've neglected to do for a couple months now. Due to being financially drained from bills, I needed a quick but inexpensive fix.
I use to use St. Ives Apricot scrub when I was younger but since then moved on to more expensive scrubs. I seemed to have the mind set that the higher the price of a face product the better quality. Well I was PROVED wrong last night. I went to my local grocery store and roamed the beauty isles. I was looking for this bottle, what I've always recognized St. Ives Apricot Scrub to appear in.

Instead, I saw different St. Ives bottles of Apricot Scrub and more variety depending on what your skin needs. I decided to get the Blemish Control Scrub which also has just the right amount of salicylic acid to slough off dead skin and reduce blemish's and blackheads.

For only $4.99 I got a great facial treatment last night. I took a quarter size of the scrub, rubbed it for about 30 seconds on my face and rinsed off with warm water. I then dried my face and applied some face lotion and was immediately surprised by how soft my skin felt. My makeup went on smooth this morning and I just did the afternoon check, no flakes! It's like I have a baby's butt on top of my neck, my face is that smooth. I recommend this product!
